Who is Rest & Relax ROI anyway? In simple terms we are a marketing services provider for RV parks, resorts and campgrounds. We're new but we're not. More on that later.

You also might be wondering who I am or maybe not, but I'm going to tell you any way! I'm the guy who is responsible for this operation. Keep reading to see how my journey leads to the formation of R&R ROI.

How'd We Get Here?

Well, it's a long and exciting adventure. It all started when I was 3 months old and went on my first family camping road trip. Yes, that's right. At the tender age of 90 days I experienced the #rvlife or the #popupcamperlife to be more accurate.


This long haul with my parents, grandparents and four siblings included stops at Grand Tetons, Jackson Hole, Yellowstone, Devil's Tower and Mount Rushmore.

While I can't say that I remember that particular trip, it was the kick off for many more outdoors and camping journeys. When I was 8 years old my parents started a camp in the mountains of West Virginia. I helped run the operations during my high school and college years which included many whitewater trips down the New River Gorge.

Studying communications in college eventually led me down a path to digital marketing. I built many websites for all different businesses and organizations. In 2007, I joined the team at Hackworth (R&R ROI parent company). Fast forward several years of running a marketing agency and helping out RV parks, it was time to make it official! And that's how Rest & Relax ROI came about!

What's the Difference?

So, what separates us from the myriads of marketing providers that grace the digital frontier? There's nothing wrong with those fine people, but we are focused on RV parks specifically. Our goal is to bring as much value to the industry as possible. If you end up partnering with us, we'll be delighted. If you don't, we'll be happy if you were able to learn something useful and better your park.

1. Systems as a Service

Another difference is our focus on delivering our M5 system. It's not just a software tool that users have to figure out. It is a complete system designed to maximize an RV park's marketing efforts. The best part? We are here with you every step of the way to make sure it works for you and not against you.

2. Four R Framework

Within our M5 system is a strategic Four R marketing framework. To ascend to new heights, you must start at the base which is your REPUTATION. A complete online reputation is more than getting a few reviews. It involves the entire digital experience for your customer. Does your website work correctly? Are you easy to get ahold of? Are you capturing reviews systematically?

Once your reputation is back in tact, you can begin the RESELL strategies. Now the aim is to effectively market to those that are already considered your customer. It is much easier to sell again than it is to win over a new prospect. Our M5 system has multiple email and SMS campaigns to interact with and ultimately grow revenue from your existing customer base.

The third R is REACH. This step is about reaching new prospects with ad campaigns, social media, SEO, etc. As mentioned previously, this is a longer, more in depth process. If done correctly, it results in significant revenue growth.

Finally, there is RETARGET. It is slightly more technical, but simply put, we retarget those that have already shown a level of interest in our reach campaigns. You may have experienced this  while shopping online. You click on something and then it proceeds to follow you around on the internet urging you to buy it already!

Optimizing just one of the R's is beneficial to any RV park. If all four are put into full effect, you can truly maximize your marketing efforts.
